Music Director – Annetta Whetham

Annetta received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Lethbridge in 2004. She graduated from Mohawk College in 2002, where she received a Diploma of Applied Music. She has studied with Dr. George Evelyn in Lethbridge, Alberta, Lita Klassen in Hamilton and Carol Ann Feldstein in Waterloo. She sings regularly with Arcady, and has participated in the Boris Brott Music Festival with the National Academy Orchestra.  She has performed many times in the Cambridge “Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts”, one year presenting a half hour set of “Vocal Music by Cambridge Composers”, including beginner composition students as young as ten years old.  She occasionally sings with the Cambridge Community Orchestra, and is a chorus member with Opera Hamilton. Annetta has worked with Galt Little Theatre, has conducted the Gilbert and Sullivan Ensemble of Kitchener-Waterloo and the Cambridge Portuguese Banda Lira do Espirito Santo.  She currently works with the Cambridge Kiwanis Boys Choir.  She is organist and music director at St. James’ Anglican church where she leads an adult choir and a youth choir.  She has accomplished grade 10 voice, grade 9 piano, grade 8 violin, and grade 2 theory, with the Royal Conservatory of Music.

In 2011, Annetta was one of the finalists nominated for a Bernice Adams Memorial Award, which is presented to artists making a difference in their community.   She currently lives in Cambridge and teaches privately.  She spends her days with her mini Australian Shepherds, potbelly pig, and bearded lizards.

Accompanist – Alison MacNeill

Alison is a graduate of the University of Guelph and holds an Associate Diploma in Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. After graduate work at the University of Western Ontario, studying with Ronald Turini, she returned to her home town of Guelph, where she maintains a busy teaching studio. As Director of Music Ministry at Harcourt Memorial United Church, she manages a vibrant program of choirs and instrumentalists.

Alison has accompanied many local choirs, including the University of Guelph Choir, the Guelph Youth Singers, the Elora Festival Choir, and the Guelph Chamber Choir, appearing on their last three recordings.

She has been accompanist for the Rainbow Chorus for over many seasons.
